How can I participate in the event?

To participate in the event, select the event icon in the game:

It will take you to the event window:
2649c2a322cf84c27d00066a1aa33402 Rolling the dice to advance
The event has the form of a board game, where you progress through the map consisting of tiles (fields). Every time you roll the dice (bottom of the screen), you spend some Sea Shells which you can obtain in quests and city incidents. Your boat will move the number of tiles indicated on the dice (hint: to skip the animation, click the dice again while the boat is moving).
Depending on the type of the tile you pass through or land on, you will experience different results.

Tile types
There are several types of tiles:
  • Resource islands - stone, fruit, or wood islands will each provide their respective resource - a certain amount when you pass through them, twice as much when you land on them.
  • Thunderstorm - if you land on it, you will experience a random effect, each with equal chances of occurring (tap the Thunderstorm in the game to see the details).
  • Daily Special - if you land on it, you will receive the current Daily Special shown in the bottom left corner of the event window.
  • Grand Prize - when you pass through it, you get 2 points towards the next Grand Prize. If you land on it, you get 3.

Milestones and upgrading resource islands
On the left hand side of the event screen, you can see your current milestones (tasks you need complete) - they show how many islands need to upgraded to which level in order to receive one of the rewards hidden in their respective chests. Each resource island can be upgraded to level 3. To upgrade a resource island, you need a certain amount of island resources. The arrows pointing up on each island will indicate whether you have enough to upgrade, or still need to collect some more.
Hint: try upgrading resource islands when you visit them with your boat - it will make the upgrades cheaper!

Cycle counter
Right next to the Grand Prize field, you will find a small counter. This is the cycle counter and it tells you how many times you have managed to complete a full cycle around the board.

Resetting the board
Once you have upgraded all 15 resource islands to level 3 and completed 5 full rounds around the board, it will restart, and you will be able to begin your progress again, to get even more rewards!
