Daily planning
•
Spread your Energy across multiple days
Don’t spend all your Energy at once. Playing over several days helps you take advantage of daily bonuses, daily shop refreshes, and new task opportunities.
•
Try to complete at least one hard task each day
The first hard task of the day gives a strong double reward, so it is often worth planning your play around it.
•
Try to complete at least one World Challenge task each day
Even one completion per day can give you enough Network Coins to keep the pace with the world level.
•
Check the Research Lab shop every day
Gem Mines, Gem Pickaxes, and
Prismatic Essence only restock once per day, so make sure you don’t miss them.
•
Claim rewards diligently
Don’t waste capped resources.
Research Coins are capped at
100, and
World Challenge task progress is capped at
12.
Board strategy
•
Start with a bigger opening batch of spawned pieces
When you begin a board, spawning several pieces at once gives you more options to work with and can lead to smoother early merges.
•
Lower-level colorless pieces are often more flexible
Faster and easier to use efficiently, lower-level merges also create more options for future merges.
•
Don’t rush to spend colorless pieces immediately
Sometimes it is better to wait until you can clearly see where a colorless piece will help you the most.
•
Use colorless pieces where they help your tasks most
Colorless pieces are especially valuable when they let you target the exact level or element you still need for a medium or hard task.
•
Focus on the tasks currently visible to you
You always have one Easy, one Medium, and one Hard task active. Try to make merges that help more than one of them at the same time.
Advanced efficiency
•
Gem Pickaxes can be especially strong on colorless pieces
If the board situation is right, combining Gem Pickaxes with colorless pieces can create very efficient progress.
•
Use Prismatic Essence on colors that are less useful for your current tasks
If one color is not helping your medium or hard tasks, it can be a good target for the Prismatic Essence.
•
Know when to reset a board
If you can’t make merges anymore and too many low-level locked pieces are still left on the board, a reset can be better than forcing progress with many extra spawns.
•
After finishing a hard task early, think about rerolling the next one
If the next hard task looks inefficient for your current board, consider rerolling it instead of forcing progress.
•
Match your resets to your daily goals
If you’ve already completed the tasks you care about for the day, only keep spending Energy or resets if the current board can still give you useful task progress.
