What are technologies and how can I unlock them?

Research is one of the most important game elements in Forge of Empires. With Forge Points you can discover new technologies, and once you've unlocked them with different kinds of goods and other resources — new buildings, expansions and game features will become available to you:

If you find yourself stuck somewhere in the Research Tree or simply want to progress faster, you can always accelerate your research using Diamonds. By choosing Complete Instantly the Forge Points bar will be fully filled and the technology will be unlocked immediately.
