Chapter XXIII - Secrets of the Unicorn

Introduction

With mounting evidence that Vallorion, a malevolent deity, has been resurrected and is triggering natural disasters that threaten the lands of Elvenar and Unur, your advisor makes a bold suggestion: to call upon Enar, the god of the forest, for help - against all odds.

Enar has always supported you and your allies. If anything - or anyone - can stop an evil god, it's likely another god...

And so, the decision is made: you must seek an audience with Enar.

But how does one reach a deity? You cannot simply knock on the right door, can you?

Believing that Luania, shaman of the forest and priestess of Mana, might hold the key, you seek her guidance. She arrives with her brother Peregrim, and together you devise a detailed plan - with the help of the Treants.

The Treants maintain a sacred sanctuary deep within the forest, where they worship Enar. The plan is to build a replica of this sanctuary in your city and bless it with the spirits of all peoples of Elvenar.

You will plant the legendary Unicorn Tree in your city and nurture its growth. To channel the energies of the Elvenar races, you must rebuild the portals of the Dwarves, Fairies, Orcs, and Halflings, and gather their envoys around the tree.

All guest races present in your city are encouraged to collaborate and prepare for a grand offering to Enar - much like the Orcs once did for Vallorion.

Thus, the old Settlements are expanded with new buildings, the Heritage Huts, designed to produce the fruits of this collaboration and move forward your efforts to summon the god.

When at last the Unicorn Tree reaches its full growth, your mission succeeds: Enar appears, in his most iconic form - a glorious unicorn.

But he is not entirely pleased that you dared to invoke a god...

Will he aid you against Vallorion? What guidance will he offer? Or will he reveal himself to be just another mighty, mad creature destined to bring disaster to the world of Elvenar?
