Chapter X - Settlement Buildings

The University Campus is the heart of the Sorcerers’ settlement. Surrounded by three distinct Faculties, it forms the educational and magical core of the chapter. Each building plays a key role in producing resources and advancing your city through research.
Campus
The Campus acts as a Portal for this chapter. It is where students gather, exchange ideas, and attend lessons. From the Campus, Sorcerers access the different Faculties to advance their magical knowledge. It must be connected to a regular street using the special street type: the Wisdom Square. The three Faculties—Arcane, Alchemy, and Necromancy—must connect directly to the Campus to function.
In addition to serving as the central hub, the Campus works as a dormitory-style storage for students and graduate resources. It is also where you can track the number of students currently enrolled in your city.
You keep all stored resources even if you sell the Campus, but it’s recommended to keep it until you’ve completed all Sorcerers & Dragons quests.
Upgrade Effects:
Wisdom Square
The Wisdom Square plays a vital role in the educational ecosystem of the Sorcerers' settlement. To function properly, it needs a regular street connection to the Main Hall. It is an auto-production building that acts as a bridge between your city and the guest race and is responsible for attracting Apprentices to your Campus that means that it automatically produces Apprentices over time. The number of Apprentices attracted depends on the total level of all your Faculties.
Like other auto-production buildings, you can collect Apprentices early at any time, though doing so resets the timer.
It can be sold, rebuilt, and moved freely.
Faculties
The Faculties are the main production buildings of this chapter. There are three distinct branches of magical study:
Arcane Faculty – Focused on ancient knowledge and arcane wisdom
Alchemy Faculty – Explores the elements, transformations, and potions
Necromancy Faculty – Teaches the responsible (or not) use of dark magic
Faculties are where Apprentices are trained into Undergraduates and eventually Graduates. They must connect directly to the Campus. They can be moved, sold, rebuilt, and upgraded as needed. Each Faculty can produce both types, but the full educational path requires students to move between different Faculties to complete their formation.
For example, an Apprentice trained in the Arcane Faculty can become a Graduate by continuing studies in the Alchemy or Necromancy Faculty.
You will need resources from all three Faculties to:
• Upgrade the Campus
• Build and upgrade other Faculties
• Unlock new technologies in the Research Tree
• Produce chapter-specific goods
Faculty productions benefit from the Campus bonus, increasing efficiency (indicated by a green arrow).
When a Faculty’s storage for a certain Good (e.g., Graduates) is full, the icon will turn grey. You can spend, upgrade, or discard to free up space.
Upgrade Effects:
• Increases production output
• Attracts more Apprentices to the Wisdom Square
