Update to version 1.298

We will release version 1.298 on Monday the 16th of December on International Market and Wednesday the 18th of December on all other Markets. There will be a short downtime during the update. We apologize for any inconvenience caused during this time.

Important notice! On mobile, the version 1.298 will be released on January 2nd, 2025 due to the holiday season. Due to the same reason, the next version, 1.299 will be released together with 1.300 on January 13th on the EN server and on January 15th on the rest of the servers.

Improvements

Buildings
  • FOE-85281: The motivation status on limited buildings (e.g. Ascended Royal Bathhouse) would expire with the building decay. We have adjusted the logic so that it doesn't happen anymore and you can continue using the motivation benefits regardless of the building status.

Bugfixes

Buildings
  • FOE-85569: The duration of the limited buildings timer would reset with the change of the game Age. We patched it up!
General
  • FOE-85422: Using the B hotkey that starts the battle on GBG and GEX would sometimes trigger an internal error. This has now been fixed and the button should correctly start the battle. 
  • FOE-84839: In rare cases, it could take up to 2 days for the Forge Plus to be activated. Of course, such a delay should not happen and no longer should. 
  • FOE-85676: After battling manually at a Mining Site in Space Age Space Hub, the game would bring the user back to their Scout's location and not to the current Map. We have now corrected this behavior so you can remain on the same, relevant Map.
Quantum Incursions
  • FOE-85582: In the QI unit description when illustrating bonuses against other units, an incorrect unit type "Unknown" would be shown instead of the actual type. We have eliminated this uncertainty. 

Mobile-only Changes

Keep in mind that the exact time the mobile update becomes available depends on the app stores. 

Improvements
  • FOE-85042: You can now swap buildings in Construction mode just as easily as on browser! When placing a new building in an occupied spot, you can now swap the two with one click. Note: if more than one structure occupies the slot you want, swapping will not work. 
Bugfixes
  • FOE-84726: In specific cases, military buildings with full slots would mistakenly signal that they are ready for production and trigger an error when clicked on. This will no longer happen.
  • FOE-85529: The Guild info would sometimes reflect the Guild's position in the old GvG-based ranking. We have updated this information to match the actual ranking. 
  • FOE-84925: Some Great Buildings (Statue of Zeus in particular) would show different attack boost values between browser and mobile. We have now fixed the discrepancy.
