Chest Events - How do they work?

The goal
In Chest Events, the goal is to open as many "chests" as possible. Chests are shown like below, often depicted as chests or boxes, costing a certain amount of currency to open. Opening chests provides you with rewards, but also adds to the counter of progress towards the Grand Prize, unlocking additional rewards for progressing through the event when reached.


Obtaining currency
By completing special tasks, you can gain currency (e.g. Matches, in the example below). With this currency, you can open Chests.


Reward Lane
By opening Chests, you can also get event currency, which helps to unlock rewards in the Reward Lane. Unlock Sunrise VIP to get additional exclusive prizes!

Grand Prizes
When enough Chests are opened, the Grand Prize is unlocked. The more Grand Prizes unlocked, the more rewards you are getting out of the event.

Reward Overview
You can check the Reward Overview to see your ​progress for the main rewards and prizes you can win in the event. Prizes can range from resources, special items, buildings, and more. The Reward Overview can be accessed via the button in the top left of the event interface.
