Fort Fight:
Fort battles are player-versus-player, turn-based games where two teams compete to either take over or defend a fort.
A Fort Fight is a team-based experience that takes place in chats and typically lasts around 1.5 hours.
Crit:
A critical hit is a class advantage exclusive to Duelers, allowing them to deduct an additional 10% of an enemy fighter's maximum health points.
Dueler-class players have a 10% chance (20% if premium) per round to score a critical hit on an opposing player.
Bail:
The act of moving away from the line of fire, typically by dismounting from a wall or tower.
Blind Spot:
A position within a sector or tower where you are exposed to the fewest opponents or minimal damage.
It is often used strategically for blocking purposes.
Ghost:
Ghosting is a class advantage exclusive to Adventurers, making them highly effective blockers.
Starting with the second time they are hit in a round, Adventurers have a 25% chance (50% if premium) to avoid being hit entirely.
This isn’t simply dodging - it is more than that, it’s as if they don’t exist.
Green:
In a fort fight, your movement arrow initially appears red when you set your move.
When two fighters agree to swap positions and both correctly set their swap, the arrow between them turns green.
LOS (Line of Sight):
This is one of the most critical aspects of a fort fight. LOS determines the areas on the map that your character can shoot at and be shot from.
You can view your current LOS by hovering your mouse over your character's icon on the fort fighting map.
Bright areas indicate your active LOS, while greyed-out areas show locations you cannot shoot at or be shot from.
Keep in mind that your LOS will change if you move.
Moat:
The sectors outside the fort, located adjacent to the towers.
Blocking these sectors typically slows the enemy's movement and helps prepare attackers to mount a tower or wall.
Mount:
Typically followed by the name of a tower, building, or wall.
When ordered to "mount" something, it means you should aim to move onto it, but only if you are next to it.
Negatives:
These are the areas surrounding and containing the flag.
They consist of the L-shaped sectors around the flag, plus the square the flag occupies.
They are called "Negatives" because they are the only sectors on the fort map that provide a negative bonus to the person standing on them.
The flag area itself gives a -25% to both aiming (attack value) and dodging (defense value), while the surrounding L sectors impose a smaller penalty of -12.5%.
Both attackers and defenders are affected by this penalty.
Swap:
This occurs when another player or the battle leader asks you to swap positions.
A green arrow confirms the swap, while a red arrow indicates that one of the players has not properly set their character to swap.
Point:
The position in a sector or tower where a player is exposed to the most opponents.
Typically occupied by players with the highest HP in the current round.
A player taking point is protecting those behind them from being shot, while allowing their team to shoot at the enemy.
