St. Patrick's Day Event - How do I hire Managers?

When you have a steady supply of goods, you can appoint managers to help oversea and improve the town's operations and save yourself from the time consuming tasks of micromanaging your town. If you hire a manager to automate and boost your production it will ease your progress through the event.

You can hire managers to manage both your factories as well as the boat and the festival itself. You hire a manager by clicking on the tophat next to the element you want to manage. When you do that a popup will allow you to hire and improve the manager for the selected site.

Remember Managers want to be paid, so you need a steady supply of pots of gold to keep them happy and working, A level one manager is cheaper, than a level 2 manager and the price increases considerably with each level. Besides automation of the tasks the manager will also supply certain boosts. Those could be production boosts or time boosts, and will either increase the output of every production cycle or speed up the process so the production cycle goes faster.

from the Rival event to upgrade your manager 1 level

Remember you are going to need to help multiple cities prepare for St. Patrick's day if you want to get the main reward building to the top level so don't spend all your pots of gold at once.
