Next Era of Quantum Incursions: the Middle Ages!
Prepare to be transported into the new Age of Quantum Incursions! New Goods, new units, buildings for your Settlement, and even a brand-new building resource! In the upcoming Championship, we’re also bringing the customization of rewards into QI as well, introducing the seasonal Item Store.
Dive into our official announcement to learn what awaits! The new Championship starts on August 28th, 2025, on the Beta server.
New setting and the Map
Welcome to the new Age, traveler! The next stage of QI's evolution combines Early, High, and Late Middle Ages into one setting, transforming familiar buildings from these Ages into their Quantum form, ready to be used in your Quantum Settlement. We've made sure to update your Map background as well, to signify the transition through the Ages:

Note! The difficulty layouts will remain the same, although you will see that
unit donation nodes are no longer present.
The Quantum Settlement in the Middle Ages
Cultivate your resources and manage armies in the Quantum Settlement, but now – with way more options. The Middle Ages in Quantum Incursions encompass three Ages from the Technology tree, which makes your options in the Quantum Settlement more abundant. This selection is what brings new flair and mechanics to the QI, as well as a new resource.
Buildings from each Age offer different productions and effects, allowing you to leverage these powerful effects and maximize the potential of your Settlement. For example, residential buildings from Early Middle Ages have the highest base values. However, residentials from Late Middle Ages offer powerful Coin production boosts, but significantly lower base production values.
Buildings from each Era are divided into tiers. Higher Tier buildings from the same Era have more production capacity, but cost more as well. The higher the tier, the more Chrono Alloy is required to build a building, with tier 1 buildings requiring no Chrono Alloy.
Read more about the building selection and the Alloy in this section.
Building selection
When it comes to
Goods, we limited the selection to 5 Goods from the Middle Ages Era of the game and converted them into their Quantum form:
- Quantum Copper
- Quantum Honey
- Quantum Bricks
- Quantum Rope
- Quantum Gunpowder
Much like with the previous QI Age, you will need to select three Goods to produce in any given season – and update your selection for the next one, upon coordinating with your Guild. In regards to the Goods selection, the mechanics remain unchanged since the Iron Age.
In the military department, you will have access to all military buildings from the Middle Ages. However, since the basis of the Settlement remains unchanged, you can still only select 3 types of buildings to use in the season. That means, once you select the type of a military building you wish to have – Light, Ranged, Fast, Heavy, or Artillery – you will gain access to all buildings of this type from all the three Eras.
Once selection is done, the corresponding buildings that produce units of selected type will appear in your Settlements' build menu. The higher the tier of the available building, the more Chrono Alloys you will need to build it.
Residential, Production, Cultural buildings, and Decorations from all Middle Ages are available in the build menu by default and do not require extra selection. While base versions of these buildings (tier 1) require Quantum Coins and Quantum Supplies, stronger versions (tier 2 and 3) require Chrono Alloys as well. So what is Chrono Alloy and how do you get it?
Chrono AlloyIn order to build higher-tier buildings from the Middle Ages, you will need a new special resource that is just as temporary as the Quantum Coins and Supplies – the Chrono Alloy.
Chrono Alloys are produced in:
- Townhall
- Residential buildings
- Production buildings
You can easily keep track of your Alloy balance in the top status bar in Quantum Incursions:

Balancing adjustments
To make sure QI corresponds to the current state of the game economy and works with the rest of the buildings in synergy, we had to make the following balancing adjustments:
- Quantum Actions capacity: increased to 300.000 (from 100.000)
- Quantum Actions regeneration: increased to 15.000/hr (from 5.000/hr)
- Quantum Action packages pricing: adjusted in accordance with the new balancing
- The cost of all node interactions: increased to 10.000 (from 3.500)
Quantum Store and rewards
Now you can choose your rewards in QI as well! We're introducing the new Quantum Store, complete with the brand-new currency: the Lunar Coins. The principle is simple and will be familiar to you if you play Events and GBG Trials: as a reward for actions on nodes, you can receive Lunar Coins to later spend them at the Quantum Store to purchase however many Fragments of a building you need.
We've made sure to add the Lunar Coins to the status bar as well, so you can always keep track of your progression:

In addition to the Lunar Coins, this Championship you will be able to spend
Quantum Medals on rewards in the Quantum Store as well
You can access the Store at any time before the start of the next season directly from the feature's HUD:

The Seasonal QI Store is populated with Fragments of buildings from the current Championship. We removed all Fragments from node rewards and made them available in the Quantum Store. Instead of Fragments, you will earn Lunar Coins that will allow you to select rewards YOU need at that moment, instead of relying on the random drops.
Note: Quantum Coins, Supplies, Shards, Medals, and Forge Points remains available from nodes.
Much like with other Stores, some options are limited, and limits will refresh only with every new season. Be mindful of what options you choose and take your pick carefully when purchasing buildings!

Most importantly, you will also notice that Fragments of older buildings that are no longer available in the current Championship, such as the Neo Colossus, can be purchased for a discounted price at the item store.
Apart from the Quantum Store, the reward sources remain unchanged, and you can still win building Fragments from:
- End-of-Season Reward Chests
- Ranking rewards
- Quantum Pass
Like before, these rewards are Championship-based and work in combination with rewards you choose from the Quantum Store. To summarize, only the node rewards are changing because of the store, and the change is simple – they are replaced with Lunar Coins.
