Domination

Domination is an endgame in which the alliances battle for world domination. To win Domination worlds you will need to think strategically, and hammer your opponents into submission until you can finally call the world yours.
The goal of this endgame mode is to capture and hold a high percentage of cities in the world.


Pre-Domination Era


The Domination Era starts after a period of time dependent on the speed and settings of the world. The pre-domination time should be enough for you and your alliance to solidify but not long enough that you will feel safe.

Domination Era


The Domination objective is 40% of cities on valid islands

92c2064815426a0af838c1d2d4ac312eOnce the Domination Era starts, the system will sweep the entire world from the center out, checking for substantial player presence and marking the valid islands. The system stops once it reaches a predetermined percentage of player presence. Only cities in these islands will be considered for the total domination value. Only large islands (islands with farming villages) will be marked as valid.

Domination Requirement Reduction

If no alliance achieves 40%, then after a period of time, dependent on the speed and settings of the world, the objective will start to reduce:

The time period before reduction is the same as that from the world's start to the domination era, effectively doubling the world time, but only if no alliance can achieve 40%
The domination value decrease start is also based on the World speed and config.

The base domination value decreases by half of the difference between the top alliance's current dominance and the objective. Once started, this happens every 14 days until the difference is less or equal to 2%.

Example: Top 1 Alliance holds 30% domination when the world hits the decrease date. ([Current Domination Value] – [Top Alliance Domination Value]) / 2 (40% – 30%) / 2 = 5% New Domination value = 35%


Last Stand


Once an alliance reaches the domination value, it will be eligible to start Last Stand. This alliance has 14 days to activate Last Stand, or it will start automatically. Once Last Stand mode is activated, the alliance will have to hold their domination value above the objective for a certain number of days, influenced by the speed of the world. If successful, this alliance will become the winner of the world.

Remember: During the Last Stand, all cities located on valid islands will be attackable even if vacation mode is activated. This applies only to the alliance that has activated Last Stand. If the domination value falls bellow the objective at any time, Last Stand is instantly deactivated and the alliance loses the ability to turn it on until it reaches the objective again.

Vacation Mode: 
While Last Stand is active, the alliance members can enter vacation mode, but it will have no effect; all cities are attackable even if they are in vacation mode already (started before the holding time).
As soon as the Last Stand is broken, vacation mode becomes effective again.
When activating vacation mode in a Domination world, a special pop-up with the following info is displayed:
  • Text: "If your alliance is currently holding last stand, or enters last stand while you are in vacation mode, all your cities will be attackable. If the last stand is broken while you are in vacation mode, all your cities become protected again. Be sure to communicate your absence with your alliance members to prepare for any possible scenarios."
Peace Times:
Last Stand can not be activated during peacetime. Additionally, the automatic start of the Last Stand, if it were to fall within a period of peace time, will be delayed until the peace time has ended.
If an alliance has already activated the Last Stand before the start of a peace time, the duration of the Last Stand will be extended by the length of the peace time once it begins.


World end


When an alliance is declared the winner, the world enters peacetime. Peace time lasts 14 days, and the world is then closed.

Rewards
Winners of this type of endgame will get an award for dominating the world, "Domination Winner".
  • Only the members of the alliance that wins the world will receive the winning awards. No rotation is allowed.

  • Artifacts can be earned by placing your alliance in the endgame rankings at the end of game worlds. Artifacts are awarded after the endgame has ended. Each artifact has its own abilities that apply to all other worlds.
