How do I unlock and progress through the Ottoman Sea Map?
The Sea Map becomes available when you first enter the
Early Gothic Era.
You can enter the Sea Map either through the
Harbormaster building, or through the
Ottoman ship, which you will find moored nearby:

At first, the Sea Map will be largely covered with clouds:

All you need to do is make sure you have enough
seafarers
(build homes in your harbor) and
ships
(build them in the shipyards), and you should be able to send your first ship to collect some of the wheat stored in the first available trade post. As you continue trading, you will eventually be able to unlock mode trade posts, producing other Ottoman resources.
There are 5 Ottoman resources:
Aspers |
Aspers are the basic Ottoman currency. It is produced in the Seafarer Homes and in the Ottoman Ship. You can also get some in the campaign map and quests. |
Wheat | Pomegranates |
Wheat is a resource you can get in Village Trade Posts - the smaller trade posts generally unlocked before the larger City Trade Posts. | Pomegranates are a resource you can get in Village Trade Posts - the smaller trade posts generally unlocked before the larger City Trade Posts. |
Confections | Syrup |
Confections is a good you can get in City Trade Posts - those are larger trade posts, generally unlocked after the first Village Trade Posts. | Syrup is a good you can get in City Trade Posts - those are larger trade posts, generally unlocked after the first Village Trade Posts. |
