Byzantine Era New Workshops

When you advance to the531972e29fdd82dd012f7cd30535d3fdByzantine Era, your existing workshops can no longer be upgraded. This is intended, as the Byzantine Era introduces three new workshops: the Scribe, Spice Merchant, and Carpenter.

These new workshops are the cornerstone of success in the Byzantine Era and the following eras, up to the High Middle Ages. Unlike previous workshops, each of these new workshops requires 5 workers to operate.

Place them strategically to maximize their production output.

We recommend keeping one of each Roman Empire workshop until you finish the Byzantine Era. After that, they are no longer needed.

The same applies later in the411a0c8ea163673c31a9256cbb265dd7Early Gothic Era, which introduces another set of new workshops: the Jeweler, Alchemist, and Glassblower. These workshops will also require 5 workers each.
