Forge of Empires is officially a teenager! That’s right—13 incredible years of strategy, exploration, and building empires have flown by, and we couldn’t have done it without you. To celebrate this momentous occasion, we’re inviting you to join the fun with our latest Anniversary Event! Back by popular demand, this year’s event promises fresh challenges, exciting discoveries, and even more treasures to uncover.

The event will run from February 20th until March 20th!

The Adventure Continues

You embark on a mission to assist our team of scientists in unraveling the mysteries of ancient Gems of unknown origin. The quest deepens as our researchers edge closer to new groundbreaking revelations about the ancient civilization that created them. But without concrete evidence, their theories remain unproven—and this is where your help is needed more than ever!

As you dive back into this fascinating journey, you’ll utilize powerful tools designed to push your efforts to the next level. Whether it’s harnessing the dazzling potential of Prismatic Essence to manipulate the Gems’ affinities or breaking them down into smaller, more manageable pieces with the deceptively advanced Gem Pickaxe, these innovations will help you crack the secrets of this ancient enigma.

What’s New? The World Challenge Returns—With a Twist!

Those of you who played the Care for Tomorrow Event last year might remember the World Challenge - this mechanic is making a comeback in the Anniversary Event! But this time, it’s been reimagined to suit the celebratory atmosphere of Forge of Empires’ 13th birthday. Instead of planting trees, players across all worlds will unite to unlock powerful rewards during the event. Every world has a shared goal, and every action you take will bring your world closer to unlocking incredible global rewards!

How It Works
In this year's World Challenge, your mission is to collaborate with players on your world to progress as far as possible. Each time you unlock Gems during the event, you contribute to your world’s overall progress. Keep an eye on the World Challenge Window, where you can track how your efforts and watch your world climb closer to the ultimate goal.

Rewards for Your Progress
Participating in the World Challenge comes with some amazing perks:

Global Rewards: These are unlocked as your world reaches new progress milestones. The more your world works together, the better the collective prizes!
Individual Rewards: Your personal progress also matters—reach milestones through your contributions and claim exclusive individual prizes along the way. Don’t forget to collect your rewards to reset your counter and keep earning!

Looking for a quick rundown? Here’s your essential guide:

Spawn and Merge Gems

Collect Energy to generate new Gems by clicking the Spawner .
Use these freshly spawned Gems to free up locked Gems on your board.
Merge Gems that contain Key parts in the Converter to form complete Keys.
Gather those Keys to open up Chests!

Meet Your New Historical Allies

This year, two legendary figures from ancient China join the ranks as your Historical Allies, bringing their immense military prowess to your empire!

	Qin Shi Huang: Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of a unified China from 221 to 210 BCE, is renowned for his unyielding military campaigns that shattered the fragmented power of the warring states and established a centralized imperial system.
	Fu Hao: Fu Hao, a distinguished general and high priestess of the Shang dynasty in the 13th century BCE, commanded sizeable armies against hostile tribes, fortified the strength of Shang rule and earned enduring recognition for her martial prowess and spiritual authority.

Unite with these iconic figures to strengthen your empire and dominate the battlefield during this year’s Anniversary Event!

Rival Challenges

During the event, Baron Alaric Ironsoul will make his grand appearance, offering valuable rewards—and those all-important Boosters—if you manage to beat his tough challenges. Don’t take him lightly; you’ll need both skill and strategy to come out on top!

Leagues

Want to see how you stack up against other players on your world? Keep an eye on the Event League, where your event progress determines your rank. The higher you climb, the better the rewards—but be aware that everyone else is racing to the top, too!

Grand Prize

Our biggest highlight is the magnificent new Viaticum Lighthouse, which evolves through silver and gold upgrades. By level 10, it provides:
